粉尘爆炸预防与控制是涉及可燃粉尘操作的企业需要关注的重点之一，如集尘器、干燥器、粉碎、打磨等操作。据公开数据，2020年全球共发生165起粉尘引起的火灾及60起粉尘爆炸，共导致10人死亡及88人受伤，而2021年全球共发生163起粉尘引起的火灾及53起粉尘爆炸，共导致69人死亡及215人受伤。应急管理部于2021年发布了第6号应急管理部令-工贸企业粉尘防爆安全规定，同时诸如精细化工的其他行业也涉及大量的可燃粉尘，需要系统性地评估粉尘爆炸风险。
